The meshing failed because the mesh element size is too close to the cad tolerance

Hi all,

I’m having trouble meshing due to this error:

I tried making the mesh coarser but it got to a point where it would’ve been almost unusable and still didn’t work.
I’m using an assembly from CREO 7 to input de geometry + internal flow volume and imprint for the fluid arround it.

Does anyone have an idea on how to “reduce the model tolerance” ?
The used model is not entirely mine, so I don’t really have access to the “original” file with the parametric data to change hole size and so on.

Hi @APovedaGER, thanks for posting on the forum and welcome to the SimScale Community :handshake:

As we don’t have access to the project itself (could you share it’s URL here?), we can only assume what the issue might be. Have you tried for example, changing the value of the small feature suppression in the mesher?

Another piece of advice that I can give is that, even if you don’t have the original CAD model of your part, you could still make some changes to it using an external CAD tool such as OnShape (if the file format is compatible, of course).
