Description:
Overview
Pumps are designed to increase the pressure of a fluid. One of the key design parameters, in the pump design, is the rotor-stater interaction. Much of the optimization costs can be saved by using the CFD tools for such studies. This project investigates the flow interaction between impeller and the vaned diffuser.
Input Data
The impeller geometry can be formed by using the data below. Non critical parameters can be assumed for this project.
Purpose
The purpose of this project is to validate the accuracy of the solver for rotating geometries. The velocity and pressure distribution results are to be compared with the proposed results.
