Solver finding zero field

I am trying to simulate the electric fields created by some piezo elements in a grounded steel shell. I am just modeling the piezo as three plates - one plate in the middle at a drive voltage and the two outer plates are grounded isolation plates. There are two sets of piezo symmetric in x y and z.

The upper and lower plates as well as the outer shell are held at V = 0 while the two middle plates are held at V = 300. When I solve for the fields, it always tells me that the fields everywhere are 0, which does not make any sense to me. Am I doing something wrong in my set-up? The project name is " symmetric piezo in shell"

Thanks

Hi @schoolofthesea, thanks for posting on the forum and welcome to the SimScale Community :handshake:

As I see it, it seems you only have 0 voltage boundary conditions:

This will make it so that no field is generated.

Best,
