My mesh won't load due to a lack of memory

I’m working on an F1 in schools an analysis over the airflow. I am quite new to SimScale but i’ve done the building in parallel with a tutorial and the mesh isn’t creating any errors. When I go ahead and try and generate a mesh it stays on 0% and then fails because the machine has no memory. It asks me to increase the number of cores but I am on the free plan so I can’t and the fineness of the mesh is quite low as well so I don’t know whats wrong. I’ve tried multiple times and every time it always fails.

Should I change laptops or a new form of hardware because my laptop hasn’t got the best power.

The Project file:
It should be called SO Mk.2

Hi @Ritwik_TGAS,

Thanks for posting on the forum and welcome to the SimScale Community :handshake:

As I see it, the Maximum Edge Lenght on your region refinements are set to a very low value:

This will innevitably result in a very large mesh which probably the Community account won’t be able to handle. For a reference, try using the settings described in this tutorial: Tutorial: Incompressible Flow around a Formula Student Car.

Best,
Igor
