Meshing Failure-MRF rotating zone

Hi

I am trying to model the fluid flow of an offset agitator in a rectangular tank. I changed the impeller shape to see the effect of it on the flow patterns. However, for the last couple of days I am not able to mesh the new model (imported from Solidworks (.SLDPRT)). There is no error code or anything for the failure in the meshing.

The project is Agitator-F3 Impeller | SimScale Workbench

Hey Mike_r_27,

Thanks for posting on the forum.

I see that the error message is “An error occurred”. Thanks for letting us know about that! I have reported the error to the team.

We will get back to you here as soon as we have an update!

Best,
Satvik

Hey Mike_r_27,

We could not find a failed mesh in the project you have shared here, and saw that the mesh was successful using a Hex mesh.

However, from one of your other projects (this one) I found a similar error for standard meshing. Can you confirm that it is the same issue there as well so the team can debug it! Please do not delete the failed mesh, so the team can take a look into it!

Best,
Satvik

Hi @shenoy

Sorry yes, I tried to run a new mesh using the Hex mesher.
I have made mesh 2 which is the standard mesher and has the error.

Yes, I tried to run the mesher on that other project and the same error popped up. Mesh 5 meshed correctly with the same settings.
