The immersed boundary method has not been full released yet and is still in beta stage. However, you can rest assured that your results are reliable. It is still in beta because we are still working on some kinks with regards to post-processing and thin-layers and radiation (which have not been activated yet in IBM). We have several users and customers successfully working with IBM.
