Hello,
I want to use an internal flow volume for my simulation.
However, I can’t manage to do it because it needs boundary faces.
Do you know how to create those faces ?
Thank you.

Hello and thank you for using the Forum!
We generally do not recommend using .stl file formats for internal flow simulations. As indicated in the warning message, the geometry’s faces cannot be split properly. Successful internal flow volume operations require both boundary and inner faces of the geometry.
Would it be possible for you to import your model in a different file format?
Best regards,
Kaan
Another alternative is to utilize the Face Split command in CAD mode, specifying an angle of 89 degrees. This will enable the boundaries to be split accordingly, allowing you to obtain the internal flow volume as desired.
Please make sure to follow the correct steps for the internal flow volume operation by referring to the documentation page provided below:
I hope this is helpful,
Kaan.
