Convert faceted cad into parametric/advanced geometry for conjugate thermal transfer

I am designing a simulation to test the thermal dissapation of a heatsink. I used a STL file and it did not allow me to use the conjugate transfer due to the model being only faceted. Is there anyway i can convert it.

thanks for reaching out to us here in the forum.
To do this you have to ensure that your STL file only consists of closed volumes. This can only be done within your CAD system.

Also, it’s recommended to use CAD formats like step or your CAD System format.

As an additional note, stl files are not supported in CHT simulations, as stated here.

Therefore you would have to export the CAD model from your CAD tool in one of the other formats mentioned in the link.
