Just like to know if the platform can be used to define boundary condition where a series of waves can be generated to study the dof motions of a body.

If you want to perform wave simulation you can either use the [6-DOF] approach or perform something like a Sloshing Analysis.
For continuous wave you can either use GroovyBC or IHFOAM which are not integrated in SimScale.
