An error ocurred

Hi @czhang!

Please try to open the results again. Should work!

Best,

Jousef

That’s okay now thank you very much

Hi @czhang!

Will definitely have a look at it later on. Not at home at the moment I hope this is fine though.

All the best!

Jousef

Cheers thank you

Think this is different as there is actually a log report:

[6] --> FOAM FATAL ERROR:

so seems to not recognize the patch

Sorry but did not very understand what is this mean

Hi @czhang, sorry that wasn’t clear was it

I meant this more as a statement of what has gone wrong, for some reason the volume you selected wasn’t recognised as a selectable patch. Are you using another setup as an example?

Kind regards,
Darren

OKay thank you and I will try to set another oneand re-simulation it

The only reason why I asked about the setup is that in the docs it only mentions assigning primitives to a porous material, not a cell zone, was just wondering if there was an example you were following that used a cell zone as the region instead?

Cheers,
Darren

I followed this but without angle wind,

Just tried to simulation a nomal completely car and see the stream trace happen to radiator.
Cheers

I thought it a bit strange that instead of a volume your radiator is two plates:

so you may need to check your mesh, I think you need to select faces that make a region unlike this:

I presume this is your geometry? or is it from the workshop?

Kind regards,
Darren

Yes I build this as the radiator to use the porous media selection

Just like in this, the radiator zone is also consist of two plate.

In that example you shared it is actually enclosed and not two plates selected:

you might need to revisit your geometry to fix this.

Kind regards,
Darren

Thank you but as you see, on my laptop it shows as plates. I am a bit confused, whats more this mesh refinement is surface refinement, so I think it is only surface?

Hi @czhang.

Currently having a look at the project. I might have found the mistake. Let me give it a shot!

Hi @czhang !

Can you send me your geometry as IGES, STEP and STL to my email address please? You can also upload them to Google Drive and share the link with me via pm. I think that there are some issues with the geometry. I want to figure out what is going on.

Best,

Jousef

Hi what is your email address please?

Check your inbox @czhang.
