Designing aerodynamic elements for Formula Student race cars is not an easy task. Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics is now a prerequisite for any team wanting to move their way up the leaderboard at Hockenheim, Silverstone, or Michigan.
SimScale and Formula Student Germany are joining forces to offer a free workshop on Advanced Concepts in CFD for Formula Student and Formula SAE. This workshop is for teams who are already using CFD in their development process and want to get their cars in peak performance shape for competition season.
The “Advanced Concepts in CFD” workshop will consist of 2 one-hour webinar sessions on the topics of aerodynamic mapping and corning aerodynamics. The webinars will be led by an expert in the field of motorsport aerodynamics and will include a Q&A during which participants can ask questions.
Each session comes with an optional homework assignment to provide a hands-on component to the workshop. Submitting all homework assignments will qualify you for a Certificate of Completion for the workshop that can be added to a resume or LinkedIn profile.
