Ventilation Strategies in Seconds Using AI
SimScale has developed a fully cloud-native, AI-based physics prediction feature using the leading AI for accelerated engineering developer, NAVASTO. The new features enable engineers to design in real time using side-by-side physics and AI-generated results.
Building designers and engineers now have access to the full range of CFD outputs including ventilation flow rates, room temperatures, and pressure coefficients needed to evaluate HVAC and ventilation strategies using AI.
In this webinar, we showed attendees how CFD simulations were used to train an AI model to predict ventilation rates. We also showed how AI is used to quickly evaluate changing conditions and varying designs, in seconds. This extends to the parameters of each of the following:
Product Manager
With a background in applied mathematics and mechanical engineering, Richard is a valuable member of the Product Management Team at SimScale. He and his team constantly try and make SimScale a better fit for every engineer in the world.
Senior Application Engineer
Experienced in CFD and engineering design, Darren studied Aerospace Engineering at Brunel University and is a part of the application engineering team at SimScale.
“If there is an architect that comes to you with a geometry in the morning, you can get the building ready for simulation in one or two hours, get the results after lunch and have time to go through a process of changes, according to the results. So in one day, we are able to optimize. The results we get from SimScale help us quickly understand how a building is going to behave and what kind of impact the building geometry will have on the surrounding space.”
“We perform a wide range of sustainability and microclimate analyses on all our projects. In order to streamline the work processes, we have implemented a large number of automations, optimizing processes and enhancing the collaboration with our partners in the AEC industry, including SimScale.”
SimScale is the world’s first cloud-native SaaS engineering simulation platform, giving engineers and designers immediate access to digital prototyping early in the design stage, throughout the entire R&D cycle, and across the entire enterprise. By providing instant access to a single fluid, thermal, and structural simulation tool built on the latest cloud computing technology, SimScale has moved high-fidelity physics simulation technology from a complex and cost-prohibitive desktop application to a user-friendly web application, accessible to any designer and engineer in the world.
