Thermal Comfort Assessment for EN 15251 and EPBD

About this Free Webinar

In this free webinar, a simulated case of designing the HVAC system for a large theater room is demonstrated, and the EN 15251 standard is used to establish thermal comfort guidelines. This standard makes use of special quantities such as PMV and PPD, which can be computed as a field and visualized in post-processing. This type of information gives a powerful overview of the required modifications to the design in terms of occupant comfort and exemplifies why CFD data can be so useful for designing HVAC systems for building design.

By participating, you will learn:

  • How to simulate an HVAC system with cloud-based CFD
  • How to understand simulation results from a thermal comfort point of view
  • How to use simulation results to make design decisions

No prior knowledge of simulation or special hardware is necessary to join this webinar. All participants will get free access to the SimScale cloud-based platform to be able to put all the learnings into practice.

If you cannot attend the live session, we still encourage you to register so that you receive the recording of the webinar.
