About this project

This project conducts a CFD analysis of a NACA 2412 airfoil subjected to airflow at a velocity of 75 m/s. The purpose of the simulation is to evaluate the aerodynamic performance of the airfoil, focusing on pressure distribution, velocity field, and the calculation of lift and drag forces. An incompressible flow model with the k-ω SST turbulence model is used to accurately capture the boundary layer effects and flow separation behavior. The setup includes a fluid domain extending 5 chord lengths upstream and downstream, with symmetry conditions applied on the top and bottom faces of the enclosure. Results will provide insights into the airfoil’s efficiency, highlighting areas for potential design optimization.
