PROYECT GOAL THERMODYNAMICS, FLUID DYNAMICS, SOLID MECHANICS

This project is a demonstration of conjugate heat transfer analysis of a directional vane disk, a critical component of a disk brake system. The primary objective of the study is to investigate the heat dissipation characteristics of the disk under the influence of airflow.

The analysis is grounded in thermo-fluid dynamics, integrating principles of both thermodynamics and fluid mechanics to simulate real-world conditions. The project employs a conjugate heat transfer approach, which allows for the simultaneous examination of heat transfer due to conduction, convection, and radiation. This methodology provides a holistic understanding of the thermal behavior of the disk brake system. A rotating zone is also added to account for the rotational effects of the disk.

The directional vane disk, with its unique design and material properties, plays a pivotal role in the heat dissipation process. The project aims to study the influence of airflow on this process, considering factors such as airflow velocity, direction, and ambient temperature.

This project demonstrates the relationship between temperature and displacement of cantilevered beam when applied rotating unbalance at the free end of the beam. Harmonic and thermodynamic analysis will be used to conduct this project.

This project presents a conjugate heat transfer analysis of a straight vane disk, a critical component of a disk brake system. The primary objective is to investigate the heat dissipation process from the disk, with a particular focus on the influence of airflow.

The study is grounded in the principles of thermo-fluid dynamics, which combines the fields of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.  A unique aspect of this project is the incorporation of a Moving Reference Frame (MRF) to account for the rotational velocity of the disk. This inclusion provides a more accurate representation of the dynamic conditions under which the disk operates. The project employs a conjugate heat transfer approach, which enables the simultaneous examination of various modes of heat transfer, including conduction, convection, and radiation.

Curing barn is where the tobacco leaves are being cook to become cured tobacco leaves. During the curing process huge energy consumption is needed. This project aims to identify the distribution of heat inside the barn for higher energy efficiency use. This will use a thermodynamic analysis.
