Conjugate heat transfer is a behavioural analysis where convective (transfer between fluid) and conductive (transfer between solids) heat transfer takes place in a system. This combination of heat transfer has forced or natural convection where fluid is dominated by convection and solid is dominated by conduction. 
Objective of the Experiment is to
Carry out mesh Independent study
Stimulate CHT using two different processor materials
Carry out the analysis at different velocities 
To determine the hot spots and Heat transfer co-efficient at different velocities

To achieve the successful design of heat exchanger

Heat transfer simulation of a cooling plate to determine the resulting temperature and heat flux distribution. This project is carried out for the partial fulfillment  of Homework Session of the FEA in Formula Student and Formula SAE Workshop.
Water is circulated through the water jackets inside the plates for the water convection purpose  also convection of air acts on the outer surfaces of the plates.

HX CFD analysis to calculate heat transfer coefficient and Pressure drop

This is a hypothetical heat exchanger that can be made out of aluminum, copper tubing and thermal paste. Water is used in the simulation for simplicity, but the real thing uses a 50/50 by volume glycol/water mixture.

This small project demonstrates capabilities of CHT solver and highlights important things to keep in mind when running a CHT case.
The objective of this project is to  help the users to  become familiar to use the CHT solverimplemented in SimScale. In this case, two ducts, containing air and water, go through a Heat Exchanger made by Silicon and Steel.
We will be able to see how the heat gets exchanged through the different media, and how air and water behave differently when they go through this type of Heat Exchangers.
The simulation will be turbulent and the steady-state of this system will be simulated. No transient behavior was taken into account.

This project includes the shell and tube heat exchanger simulation using the conjugate heat transfer technique, abbreviated as CHT. Conjugate heat transfer defines processes which involve variations of temperature in solids and fluids due to thermal interactions.
