Gathering  Airflow Yield Notwithstanding Obvious User's Elementary Limits

Aerodynamic analysis of a supercar/hypercar. This time I made the vents actually working.
Results at 180 km/h :
Drag : 4345 N, Downforce : 1750 N

Aerodynamic analysis of my first car model made on Fusion 360. It comes in a base model and an aerodynamically upgraded version featuring a ducktail and a longer front splitter.

Results : the aerodynamically upgraded version makes around 145 kg of downforce at 180 km/h ( when the regular version makes around 15 kg of lift) but has a 7 percent increase of drag as counterpart.

Flow Analysis Over Alfa Romeo QV without any aerodynamic aids.

Experiments and comparaison of different single seater step planes at 180 km/h (50 m/s). I use a quickly made sort of single seater design.
Results :
Reference (no step plane)              : 1740 N of drag, 330 N of lift.
Flat step plane                                      : 1793 N of drag, 255 N of lift.
Flat step pland and side skirts     : 1800 N of drag, 55N of lift.
Flat step pland and all skirts         : 2025 N of drag, 650 N of lift.
Flat round step plane with skirt : 1880 N of drag, 760 N of downforce.
Angled step plane                               : 1840 N of drag, 450 N of downforce.
Angled step plane with skirts      : 1850 N of drag, 620 N of downforce.

In this simulation, it is aimed to calculate the drag coefficient of an experimental rocket. Although the rocket geometry used is representative, the drag coefficient can be calculated for realistic models by following the simulation steps. K-w SST turbulence model was used for simulation. For the experimental rocket, the speed was taken 270 m / s and a ninety-degree (not realistic) flight angle assumption was made.

The rear wing plays a vital role to maintain the friction on the ground. The simulation analysis a flow over a rear wing developed to study the airflow patterns. An incompressible  external flow analysis is carried out to determine its flow patterns.

For a bachelor thesis, the coefficients of drag, lift and pitching moment need to be calculated. Model is a RC Glider.

To change with cars I have quickly designed a flying wing drone with a 3m wingspan. At 360 km/h (100 m/s) it makes a surprisingly low drag of 11.94 N and a 1411.5 N of lift.

Examine the flow behaviour on train container body and calculate the drag force for different yaw angle.

Aerodynamic of a track focused car I have made on Fusion 360. Unfortunately an impeachement/bug unables me to make the vents working. At 180 km/h it makes about 3050 N of drag and 230kg of downforce.

Aerodynamic analysis of a speedster track car I designed on Fusion 360 at 180 km/h (50 m/s). It comes in two version :

-A base model making around 2729 N of drag and 2673 N of downforce.
-An RS version including a front splitter and a rear wing, making 3493 N of drag and 4266 N of downforce.

Following the new 2021 F1 rules, this simulation showcases why is it really important to focus on diminishing the amount of dirty air that the following car is receiving when it comes to wheel-to-wheel battles.

The model was designed by one of my friends who is currently working on a DIY RC plane project. 
He was originally designing a simple glider before revising the design in order to make it a flying boat.

I was asked to analyse the flow around the aeroplane and here it is!
I reckon it still needs more fine tunings (geometry, meshing, sim control, etc.) but I'm chuffed to acheive a decent results.

This project involves meshing externally a Boeing 777-200 LR Aircraft, and then simulating its' operation on flight facing an airflow with an axial velocity of 50 m/s.  It is one of the longest-range commercial airliners, with an exterior length and wingspan reaching 63.70 and 64.80 meters respectively.  For this case a model with removed engines was chosen in order to assist convergence and meshing. Also a Symmetry plane was added midst the Part, and half the part was used for meshing and simulation for simplification.  A steady state compressible flow simulation is executed to visualize the air flow around the bodywork and wings of the aircraft, as well as the pressure distribution while on flight.

Project dedicated to understanding the  aerodynamics of a relatively modern road-going hatchback and  ways of improving them.  Self-made model means the results are unlikely to be highly accurate.

The project currently is more about learning about simscale, than immediate results analysis.

Testing the wind interactions with a mobile home.

The goal of this project is to evaluate the aerodynamics of a Boy Scouts of America Pinewood Derby car. This is the first in a series of projects involving many concepts including turbulence modeling, advanced meshing, multiple reference frames, and aerodynamic optimization. The undertray is known to be the most aerodynamically efficient downforce generating device. Theoretically, almost 50-60 percentage of the downforce generated by the aerodynamic package of an F1 car is generated by the undertray. Moreover, the undertray produces a very minimal amount of drag force owing to its reduced frontal area hence the lift(here downforce) to drag ratio is very high. Therefore, optimizing the undertray design is of great significance to the overall downforce generated by a car.

Simulation of an aerodynamics package of a student-designed FSAE car.

This project  involves meshing externally an F1 type Front Wing, and then simulating its' operation when facing a horizontal airflow of 20 m/s. Nowadays it is very common to witness F1 type cars using this type of leaf-like wings, called cascades, acting to generate vortices behind them that spiral upwards and outwards in channels controlled to the millimeter and shaped around the front wheels, towards the underfloor, through and around radiator inlets and between suspension components, and lately , it has been introduced by some Formula Student teams as well.  For this case a Symmetry plane was added midst the Part, and half the part was used for meshing and simulation for simplification. A steady state incompressible flow simulation is executed to visualize the air flow around the bodywork and wings of the part, as well as the pressure distribution, the outwash effect of the cascade and endplate, as well as the vortices of the footplate.
