Dynamic 2D structural analysis of a formula student differential mount.
The part is sitting on a vibrating system between the engine and the differential. The part needs to be optimized for minimum weight.

Differential mount of a formula student car. The goal is to reduce the weight.

A formula student drivetrain part that is connecting the differential to the chain sprocket. It has to withstand a torque of 620Nm at final drive rotation speeds.
The gearing is simplified to a plain surface because it can withstand about 1200Nm.

The simulation is static and extremely simplified because the subject of the matter is to analyse the arm structure for possible improvements.
