The objective of this simulation is to become familiar with the fan-based Boundary Conditions implemented in SimScale. 
These Boundary Conditions create a  pressure drop on the face applied. This pressure drop depends on the flux going in/out through the surface, and they are related following the charasteristic curve of the fan.

Using this Boundary Conditions, different types of fans can be simulated behind the surfaces, and their effects on the different ducts can be estimated.

Multiphase analysis of sump tank water filling with operating pumping systems. 
The tank is composed of two inlets and one outlet. There is a continuous flow from one of the inlets to the outlet. There is also some water flow falling through the other inlet due to gravity. 
The objective of the simulation is to visualize the water and air movement inside the tank.

The objective of this project is to become familiar with porous media using Simscale and to carry out a complete study of a porous butterfly inside a pipe. This butterfly will be tested at different angles with respect to the flow. This will provide a complete idea of the flow behavior when facing porosity.
Simulations will be steady, incompressible and turbulent, and the fluid used will be air. The pipe will be long enough and it will contain a fully developed flow.

The aim of this project is to show the capabilities of Simscale when dealing with ventilation ducts and devices. The project includes different features on a Ventilation System which will be simulated. 
The simulation will be steady, incompressible and turbulent. This project can be used as a tutorial or as a template to see how the different features are set up (porosity, passive scalars, momentum-sources...).

The objective of this project is to show how users can create bodies with porosity using the platform. 
The porosity can be created inside a part of the CAD model or a Geometry Primitive. The user is free to place and build this Geometry Primitive as desired.
This project can be used as a template to create porosity in different ducts or ventilation systems.

Analysis of a ventilation ducting system.
The original duct is created from 2 mm sheet metal.
Investigation involves checking flow uniformity from 3 outlet sections and flow direction.
Proved importance of the outlet cut thickness on the direction of the out-flow. Changing the thickness of the outflow channels to 20mm results in vertical outflow from all 3 outflow sections, while original 2 mm configuration shows flow bends towards the end of the duct.

The heat sink with forced flow and internal fan

For this project the thermal performance of internal components of a drone are analysed using a conjugate heat transfer CFD simulation. The internal space is cooled using a simplified fan and results are used to judge whether the fan flow rate is sufficient for the given power output of the electrical components.

This small project demonstrates capabilities of CHT solver and highlights important things to keep in mind when running a CHT case.
The objective of this project is to  help the users to  become familiar to use the CHT solverimplemented in SimScale. In this case, two ducts, containing air and water, go through a Heat Exchanger made by Silicon and Steel.
We will be able to see how the heat gets exchanged through the different media, and how air and water behave differently when they go through this type of Heat Exchangers.
The simulation will be turbulent and the steady-state of this system will be simulated. No transient behavior was taken into account.

Recently I noticed that when I put some cloths on a radiator in my room, even though the heater power is not changed, the experienced temperature was lower that if the radiator was clean.
This simulations are to validate this observation.
