Tutorial project for a flow analysis of a pipe junction. The project only provides the geometry to start with. See our tutorials section to have a look at the step-by-step instructions to set up the simulation.

1. Model Description:

Main Component: A water wheel with blades designed to convert the kinetic energy of flowing water into mechanical energy.
Water Basin: A semi-circular basin housing the water wheel. The water flows through this basin, hitting the blades of the wheel, causing it to rotate.
Shaft: A shaft is connected to the hub of the wheel and extends through the center of the basin, enabling the wheel to rotate as water strikes the blades.
Water Flow: The flow of water enters the basin from one side, strikes the blades of the wheel, and exits from the other side of the basin.
2. Simulation Goals:

Fluid Flow Simulation: The main goal is to simulate how water moves through the basin, interacts with the wheel blades, and exits the basin. The impact of water on the blades and the resulting forces that drive the rotation of the wheel will be analyzed.
Rotation of the Wheel: The simulation will consider the rotation of the water wheel due to the impact of water on the blades.
Flow Velocity and Pressure Distribution: Analyze the velocity of water as it moves through the basin and the pressure distribution on the blades of the wheel.
3. Parameters and Boundary Conditions:

Inlet: Water enters the basin at a specified flow rate or velocity.
Outlet: Water exits the basin from the opposite side.
Wheel Blades: The blades are set to rotate based on the force exerted by the incoming water.
Water Properties: The fluid is defined with properties such as water's density, viscosity, and flow characteristics.
4. Mesh and Computational Details:

Mesh Type: A structured mesh is used for fluid simulation, focusing on areas around the wheel for accuracy in fluid interaction.
Solver Settings: Appropriate solver settings are chosen for simulating steady-state or transient
