We will test a cantilever beam under end load against Euler-Bernoulli beam theory results. Displacement at the tip and stress at the fixity will be benchmarked. A stress singularity is happens at the fixity due to Poisson's ratio effects

I will investigate the deflection and stresses of a fully fixed flat plate under normal pressure and compare against analytical results
