About this project

We will simulate the generation if a normal shock wave in a de Laval nozzle. A shock wave occurs when supersonic flow can not maintain the regime anymore when the pressure downstrem is too high. To match the outside pressure, an non isentropic process happens in which the fluid properties change suddenly. In the case we will be studying, a nozzle expands air below 0,1 bar when the outside pressure is 1 bar, so a normal shock wave occurs.
