MF chamber
About this project
This is a model of how a fluid might behave inside a microfluidic chamber. I am using this chamber to grow Physcomitrella patens, a moss, in a confined space, in order to image certain structures inside this moss. The design and technique are based on a paper by Bascom et al. (2016): Long-term growth of moss in microfluidic devices enables subcellular studies in development. The goal of this specific simulation is to see where dead volume might exist inside the chamber, which will be a problem if we are willing to use the chamber with a constant flow through of medium. A constant flow of medium would provide us with an environment with an equal concentration of a compound of interest throughout the chamber, if the flow is more or less homogeneous.
