Steady state and transient analysis of an industrial 7 blade fan ducted fan assembly with cowling.

This study aims at validating the CHT v2 solver of SimScale GmbH with IBM as an option. A peer-reviewed publication focussing on thermal analyses and cooling of an RF electronics package has been used as the basis for this validation case.

Industrial mixing tank example using the Multiphase solver.

In this example, a simple tank and a baffled tank design are compared in terms of mixing performance. The simulation involves 2-phases (air/water) and rotating parts (impellers).

As a final step, a sparger is implemented at the bottom of the tank, to simulate the tank aeration process.

Validation case for the Heat Transfer solver, based on the ISO 10211 Case 1, which considers a half squarer column under imposed temperatures.

This thermal bridge validation case belongs to heat transfer. It is based on test reference case 2, listed in the EN ISO 10211 Standard.

Validation project for the heat transfer solver with the case of a three-dimensional join corner among two walls a floor element, as described in the EN-ISO 10211 standard, Annex C, Case 3.

In this project, we validate the thermal bridge case 4 with an iron bar from the EN ISO 10211 Standard, using the heat transfer solver in SimScale.

The geometry was modified for simulation purposes which may or may not have introduced inaccuracies. Fundamentally the modification was extending the topology and modification to topology. Additionally some surfaces had gaps, these were closed by moving some faces.
