In this project my aim is to determine the strength of the I beam made of steel having young's modulus of 205GPa under different loading conditions for a cantilever beam.

My aim for this project is to test the durability of a cylindrical shaped steel pipe with young's modulus is 205GPa.  The loading conditions are: one end of the cylinder is fixed and the other end is free. On the free end a force is applied in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal cylindrical axis. The maximum force that can be applied so that the cylinder does not yield is calculated.  

Conclusion from project: The safe load that can be applied at the end of the cylinder considered is 100kN.

My aim in this project is to study the characteristics of flow over a backward facing step.  I would be using a CFD simulation to simulate.
