Atmospheric Water Harvester
About this project
A simulation for the model showing how the device works following these steps: Solar Panels: Photovoltaic solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into electricity. This energy is used to power the cooling system and other electronic components. Air Intake and Filtration System: A fan powered by solar energy pulls air into the system. The air passes through a HEPA filter to remove dust, allergens, and contaminants. Condensation Chamber: The air is cooled using thermoelectric cooling plates powered by solar energy. When humid air comes into contact with the cold plates, water vapor condenses into liquid droplets. These droplets are collected and channeled into a storage tank. Water Collection and Storage Tank: Condensed water is collected on hydrophobic surfaces to prevent evaporation. The water flows into a storage tank. Filtration and Purification System: Water passes through a multi-stage filtration system, including: Carbon Filter: Removes odors, chlorine, and organic contaminants. UV Purifier: Uses ultraviolet light to kill bacteria, viruses, and other pathogens. This ensures the water meets drinking standards for safety and taste. Sensors and Smart Monitoring: Sensors measure humidity, temperature, and water quality. Data is displayed on a connected mobile app. This allows users to monitor water production and ensure safety. Control System and User Interface: A microcontroller regulates fan speed, cooling power, and filtration cycles.
