Yet another Women’s Wednesday is upon us! In today’s edition, we would like to introduce Chandrika who is part of our Workbench Team. What is your role? What do you do?

I started at SimScale as a Senior QA Engineer on the Workbench Team. Along with my colleagues, we strive to deliver a bug-free user experience to our customers.

    What is your background?

I was born and raised in the southern part of India. I lived most of my life in Mysuru, the state’s cultural capital. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering. I speak a few Indian languages along with German and English. It’s been a decade since I moved to Germany. I am currently living in the beautiful city of Hamburg with my husband.

I have worked in different domains like Enterprise Mobility Management, Market Research, and e-commerce in several countries, such as India, the USA, and Germany — all under the umbrella of software quality assurance.

    What brought you to SimScale?

Before SimScale, I had spent quite a lot of time in e-commerce. I was looking for a unique challenge when I stumbled upon SimScale. The field of engineering simulation in connection with quality assurance fascinated me. My husband, being a mechanical engineer, gave me insights into the simulation world. Above all, the people I came in touch with during my interviews at SimScale gave me the final push.

    What excites you?

New cultures, new technologies, and new cuisines excite me. As a result, I also like traveling. I love playing with my niece and nephew in India as well.

What do people value about you?

I have been told that I am very approachable and easy to talk to. I always try to see the brighter side of things. My former colleagues have valued my attention to detail and my ability to take ownership of things.

    Thank you for sharing, Chandrika!
