At SimScale, we believe that a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace is key to fostering innovation and collaboration. Over the past few months, our SimDEI Team has been taking a closer look at how we can redefine ourselves to better live up to our DEI values. Through this process, we developed a framework that is built around three core pillars: Strategy, Operations, and Organizational Health. Each of these pillars is designed to drive meaningful change within our company and community. By embedding DEI into our everyday actions, we are actively shaping a culture that values all perspectives and experiences.
Strategy: Shaping and Defining Our DEI Efforts
The Strategy pillar focuses on actively shaping and promoting DEI at SimScale through key initiatives. Our goal is to set up fair hiring practices, expand our network, and improve our public representation. We recognize that our global team experiences differences in culture, background, and challenges. Therefore, we strive to create a welcoming workplace that supports employees and fosters meaningful engagement with diverse customers, users, and the wider community.
To achieve this, we are:
- Continuously refining and enhancing our hiring vision.
- Strengthening our partnerships and collaborations with diverse organizations.
- Enhancing our public representation through diverse speakers, events, and external communications.
- Encouraging employees to become advocates for change.
- Holding ourselves accountable by measuring progress, analyzing data, and regularly reviewing our DEI initiatives for continuous improvement.
By maintaining transparency and accountability in our DEI progress, we aim to not only grow internally but also inspire change within our industry.
Operations: Integrating DEI Into Everyday Work
The Operations pillar ensures that DEI is not just an initiative but a fundamental part of how we work. This means embedding diversity, equity, and inclusion into our daily business processes—from hiring and team management to company policies, training, and workplace culture.
Some of our key efforts include:
- Inclusive hiring practices that ensure fair representation.
- DEI and broader training for all employees to build awareness and empathy.
- Regular focus groups and feedback sessions to understand and address the diverse needs and experiences of our team members.
- Policies that support work-life balance and accessibility for all.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive leadership approach.
By weaving DEI into our business operations, we create an environment where all employees feel seen, heard, and valued.

Organizational Health: Fostering Employee Well-Being and Community
At the heart of any successful DEI strategy is the well-being and engagement of employees. The Organizational Health pillar is dedicated to strengthening our sense of community and celebrating the diverse backgrounds that make SimScale unique.
We are taking active steps to:
- Implement engagement and community-building initiatives.
- Organize DE&I education and awareness programs.
- Provide well-being and personal development opportunities.
- Facilitate community impact and volunteering activities.
By fostering a culture of belonging, we enable our team members to bring their authentic selves to work every day.

What’s Next?
With our DEI strategy and three key pillars in place, we’re excited to turn our vision into action. Over the coming months, there will be new initiatives, ongoing learning opportunities, and various ways for everyone to get involved in shaping a more inclusive workplace at SimScale. Because together, we’re not just improving our workplace—we’re helping to shape a more inclusive future for all.
